Interesting post.

"LSD? Does it also produce Psilcilin or Psilocin as metabolates? "
Possible, but unlikely.

"Serotonin isn't just found in the brain either - it's produced there but also acts on other organs... I know for a fact that both the
heart and bowel are implicated here - they also have HT receptors, although different kinds."
Very good! Yes, this may explain the correlation
between eating and CH, or stress and CH that
some experience. It is perhaps an all out 5-HT fuck up.
which might be in line with a genetic problem and
the small % of the population affected. One eats
and the body responds normally for the gut, but the signal
is fired aborad for some damned reason and the brain
kicks into a fucked up attempt to digest your food
, although there ain't any up there. Same for the stress
thing.

The question is....what is the common messenger molecule
that kicks the 5-HT-derived functions into high gear? The other
question is: Are certain subtypes of 5-HT receptors
only supposed to be in certain tissues? If we have a genetic screw up as CH
sufferers, would our condition be the result of
generating the wrong type of 5-HT receptor subtype
in certain organs or regions of organs? The answer to this
may explain why so many subtypes of 5-HT receptors. Which happens to be
another nagging question...This is followed by: If there are
several subtypes of 5-HT receptors, are there an equal number
of 5-HT analogs, i.e.: serotonin1, serotonin2,...etc? This would indicate
extreme physiological elegance, and tremendous physiological specificity...
Obviously, it owuld not be a case of one size fits all...

MPVS - myocardial ? ? syndrome? please explain.

LSD is pretty much harmless if swallowed, as I understand.
You absorb it through your gums I think.

Psy...you must ingest I think.

"Perhaps any substance with an
Indole Ring structure like Serotonin has is allowed to cross the blood/brain barrier."
I do not understand what do you mean by this. Please elaborate.

Also, is serotonin solely produced by the brain?

"maybe in CH brains the Serotonin has a hard time
escaping from the brain into the blood"
Possibly.

"and the LSD or Psilo leaves the door open for it"
Possible, but unlikely. I am not aware of serotonin
having a specific "channel". Also, I am not aware
of psy or LSD being channel/gate agonists/antagonists.
