It's like there are several locks but they all use the same master key. How come when the key is passed throughout the house all the doors don't open at once.
We may have been assuming that Serotonin is a chemical messanger. The way I understand it is that the body is controlled by the central nervous system more than chemicals.
What is the purpose of serotonin?
Why have the one key that fits several locks?
Why have something that can pass to and from the bloodstream?
Is Serotonin a messanger or does it have some other function like oxygen for instance? Is it something the body produces because to supply a demand?
I think to answer the question of why many locks and one key we need to answer the following:
What does Serotonin do?
Are we correct in thinking that it is only produced in the pituitary gland? (I'm certain this is the case)
On top of this has anyone come up with the metabolates of LSD yet?
Pinky???

Fuck me, isn't pseudo science fun!
