Joe, I just read your post. I am new to this site but not new to CH's. I too have suffered since I was 16. I'm now 37. My headaches come every year or year and a half. They last about two months. Takes two weeks for them to really get full blown. They are back with a rengence. Had two yesterday and am waiting for todays. Sucks. I have taken meds out the wazoo for years. Forget pain meds, never help. Emergency room visits don't help either, just hurt the wallet. At onset, I take Maxalt, down two 25 mg. Phenergan for the lovely nausea, then a 10 mg. Valium to relax me enough to not thrash around with the pain. This last week, I have been able to knock them out within two hours. Mine can last as long as 18 hours. I am seeing a migraine specialist tomorrow. He really seems to know his stuff. He suffers from CH too. Have to ask him about the O2. Never tried that. Does it help??
