A customer at my book store noticed Jonny's clusterheadaches.com sticker on my car this morning. She, herself, has CH (I questioned her carefully), but has been in remission for five years. In any case, she knows Dr. Oliver Sachs, a megabest-selling author, himself a doctor/neurologist/psychiatrist. My friend said she's not absolutely certain, but she thinks that Oliver Sachs might also suffer from cluster headaches, and would ask him the next she sees him.
I certainly don't wish these on the good doctor, but what a burst of publicity we could get if he "went public" with this, and started working for our cause.
I'm going to write to him tomorow, and I'll let you know if anything happens. It's a shot in the dark, but one worth making.
So, thanks again, to Jonny for the stickers, and thanks to everyone else who is working to get the word out. Little by little and bit by bit we're hacking away at the wall.
