This is what I think:
It is important to talk about this.
Todd believes that the root cause of clusters is physical although emotions/psychology can affect the intensity/frequency/duration of clusters.
I respect his opinion.
I once suspected that the root cause was psychological/emotional. I now believe that the root cause is physical and that emotions/psychology have no effect on frequency/intensity/duration.
I do believe that emotions/psychology affect are ability to cope and that is all.
I also believe that the distinction I am making is VERY important and that it is not a semantic kind of game.
Root cause/frequency/duration/intensity solely physical.
I offer this as my evidence:
1)biofeedback has proven to have no effect on cluster attacks
2) it typically takes real strong meds to abort/prevent
3) my own experience
I would also add that I could be entirely wrong about everything and that maybe Clusters at their very root are Psychological.
This probably hasn't helped you but I couldn't help myself.
