I AVOID certain scents because even without suffering a CH attack, it can nearly incapacitate me. There are certain perfumes and candle scents that if I'm not in a cycle, will cause an extreme headache, but not a CH attack. The intense part of this headache is over pretty quickly.
If I'm in a cycle, I will get the same headache, then almost always suffer a CH attack that night. I'll still get some CH attack in a cycle, whether I'm near any chemicals or scents, but if I avoid certain things, I get fewer attacks.
For the record, I had this sensitivity to scents long before I ever had a CH attack. I've been smell sensitive since I was a child, but didn't get an CH attacks till my 30s.
