I`ve been on this CH trip for the past week since I stumbled upon all my symptoms in a big fat book from the Mayo clinic. I had never even heard the term cluster headache before that.
I`ve also taken the quizes and checked out many other sites. I`m quite sure it`s what I have. Lets see....
I`ve got a REALLY sore eye that waters with a lid that sometimes feels like it wants to keep closing. I`ve also got pseudo sinus pressure in my right sinuses and around my eye. (I call it "pseudo" since I`m told theres nothing wrong)
I`ve got headaches that come on out of nowhere and surround my eye covering the whole area from my forhead to under my ear.
The headaches will leave as fast as they come and last about 15 to 45 minutes. In between the big headaches I`ll have constant mini headaches or shadows.
Some headaches are worse than others and I have to hold my head and keep moving around. I`ve yet to be woken by a headache, but I havent been able to fall asleep during one either.
I could have taken the imitrex inhaler instead of the pills, but I tried the inhaler in the office and it dripped down the back of my throat for a half hour. It tastes fucking terrible and didnt seem to have any effect on the headache I had while there.
I will be having an MRI,but this new doctor wants me to have my old CT scan sent to him first.
I`m also going to see an eye doctor on Monday so I can rule out eye trouble. I`ve never needed glasses, but it`s been a long time since I`ve had an eye exam. I`m 30 now so it`s possible that my eyes or "eye" might be degrading. I dont understand how this could cause the sinus pressure and sporadic headaches, but it`s worth checking it out.
My right eye (sore eye) looks a lot like the left one,but my right tear gland looks larger.
I bought an eye patch today while at the pharmacy and my eye felt a bit better getting a rest, but the patch is hard and conical and it`s base presses too hard on the sore areas around the eye. It`s still better than if it actually touches the eye itself. ANYTHINGS better than that!!
It`s interesting that sometimes I just get periods of severe pulsing pain on the side of my head that feels like an ear ache. It will last around 5 or 10 minutes and have nothing to do with my eye or rest of my head.
This happens about 2 or 3 times a day.
The full on big headaches involving the eye happen between 5 to 10 times a day.
