Since most people get CH attacks if they drink alcohol during a cycle it would be interesting to know what differences in body chemistry the non-reacting clusterheads may have, if any.
AND why does alcohol trigger an attack? Is it a pure chemical reaction? Does it have to do with dilating or constricting blood vessels? Does it affect the hypothalamus directly?
People used to tell me that histamines in wine were the cause of a headache. That is not CH though. Yet CH was once called the histamine headache.
Do you think the histamines have anything to do with the stuffy nose and runny eye?
So many questions. I surely wish we had more answers.
