It breaks my heart to see so many suffering from this unrelenting hell. Each headache is killer.
I had to revise downward my estimate of the number of individual cluster headaches I have managed to survive to just over 30,000 since 1986. Before that they were just plain old ordinary two-three day migraines. So, it hasn't been as bad as I thought. Har!
It's easy to see why some people do not survive the demon pain. Even the "minor" ones are deadly.
Reiki has not stopped the headaches. But, after about six treatments this week I have begun to see things differently...actually even getting some answers to the question, "What the hell is the purpose of this torture, Oh Lord?" (I may share that later.)
But, those of you who can actually lay down or even sit during one of these attacks are the object of my envy. I have to stand against the wall the whole time - every time, and do the usual begging for an asteroid to land right on me or for a drive-by shooting.
God sure doesn't want to mess with our fun by giving us a break.
Still, one insight that came from the Reiki is that I can actually get some sleep now and then if I sleep face down. I wish it worked for everyone, because lack of sleep quickly becomes a huge issue.
