Considering the number of responses you received, you may want to redefine "strength". I think voicing your pains and fears is is healthy and strong, certainly much stronger than suffering alone. As to your relationship ending, any failed relationship carries a certain saddnes for what might have been. However, I think that anyone with a disability or challenge may find that their relationship does not survive. Perhaps that sounds trite, but the combination of my chronic clusters and my son's and father's major surgeries has put a great strain on my wife and my relationship that makes all the pre-existing rough edges that much sharper. I cannot offer you any short philosophical quip as comfort. I can only say that you will find the combination of meds you need and wonder how you ever made it through all the pain. The way things sound on this board lately, when in doubt, drink some water.
