It would be my guess that the drug in question is Imitrex. If it is indeed imitrex then it is worth the stress test.
The auto injector works best for me and others. I would suggest that you copy some of the materials found on this website and show them to your doc. It has been found that for many cluster sufferers that 1/3 dosage of the amount in an auto injector is sufficient to abort a Cluster attack (see Imitrex tip to the left in links) Now this tip is only for the injector because of the speed and efficiency of your body assimilating the medicine. From my observations of the posts here on the board and reading about how the body assimilates the imitrex (sumitriptan succinate(sp)) The nasal spray and tablets are not nearly as effective because they are not absorbed quickly enough. And I'm sure you know when dealing with the demon time is of the essence.
