I agree with Barb--I'd have some more test run if I were you. Have you done the MRI/CT/EEG routine yet? The 'path' of pain you're experiencing doesn't seem to fit the CH profile.
As for the cognitive/creative issue, excluding (and maybe even including, many of the drug factors), one of the points I've observed since I became a regular around here, is that CH'rs don't seem to suffer that side-effect. On the contrary, I've wondered whether the number of musicians among us isn't an abnormally high percentage. drummer, Gordon, kip, barb, nancy and a number of others certainly express themselves very creatively.
