She's completely right when she says that when the cycle peaks for a sufferer, their emotions really do betray them. Sleep deprivation and almost constant pain and fear of the next relentless attack really do take their toll after awhile. It's almost like our loved ones become someone else when they're getting hit so bad. They say things they don't mean, they do get angry and some do get physically agressive. We had a joke here a few years ago that we could probably make a lot of money for OUCH, repairing all the holes in the drywall caused by cluster headaches. You and I can't imagine the pain they are going through, but we do have to respect it. Give your dad the space he needs when he's getting hit - leave him alone if that's what he wants. Tell yourself it's not really you that he's angry at - it's the headaches.
I'm sorry this is so hard, Bob - I felt your words in my heart. You'll get through it, my little hockey friend ;) We all do.
Always here if you need to yack. Even if my messenger status is set to 'busy', you can message me ok?
