My doc who originally suggested cluster now wants to call it an atypical migraine. But I don't understand why... I looked up both cluster and migraines and I don't have the symptoms of a migraine and I have all the symptoms of CH except the droopy eyelid. I think he's basing it partly because I didn't respond to a perscription of Indocin which he said was for cluster headaches. But later he did give me 3 perscriptions that have helped a lot. 1. Mobic - I take it twice a day. 2. Amitriptyline - I take at bedtime. 3. Darvocet - for when I feel one coming on.
Its been pretty good over the last two days. I can feel the headaches trying to come on but the darvocet either aborts it or reduces it to managable levels.
The only problem of sorts is the one at bedtime leaves me super groggy in the morning. It takes me about an hour or two to shake it off.
Anyway, maybe this might help someone who reads it.
