you referred to aren't experienced by everyone. There are two types of CH sufferers. Episodic, one who has headaches for periods of weeks or months and then has pain free periods of weeks, months, or years before having headaches again and Chronic who has very short or no pain free periods.
Also the pain is usually on the same side of the head, but can switch sides. I believe I have read just not during an attack. Mine started when I was 19 and are always on the same side.
One of the things I have learned from this board is that there are many variations of symptoms that people suffer from. Let me clarify that. The symptom of the cluster is the same, but the frequency and intensity often differs. I have also found that many treatments that work for some people don't work for others, so if you find that it is CH that you suffer from keep trying new treatments until you find what works best for you.
