Am I saying the treatment is bogus, NOPE! It may help numerous people. Will it help 'everyone' with their clusters, NOPE!
I have felt, and still do feel, it is irresponsible for us to run around and proclaim that we have found 'the most effective' treatment there is for CH. What we have is a bunch of people who have ingested shrooms in uncontrolled, unmonitored situations and have some or complete releif from their headaches. Because of the shrooms? Maybe. Because their headaches were ending anyway? Maybe. Because of the psychological belief that it would help? Maybe.
Plain and simple, to proclaime anything a successful treatment, much less the most effective treatment for CH without any scientific data or testing to back it up is pissing in the wind.
Now I hope it turns out to be what we all hope it is. An effective treatment. I could see the possibility it was right from the beginning. The similarities between psilocybe and 5HT. I talked with and raised interest in doctors at Diamond Headache and Univ. of Arizona. I persued and will continue to persue legitimate testing of hallucinogens. Am I going to believe that it didn't work for me because I did it wrong? Nope! I actually got a thru g correct. I had one tab of maxalt about 3 days before I did the shrooms. I beleive I did everything as right as I could and it just isn't going to work for me.
As for hanging around here, I will continue to be involved. Am I here for sympathy? NOPE! You won't see any whining from me on this board. I will stay here to help the others in any way I can. I'll cheer them when the shrooms work for them and I'll tell them not to worry when it doesn't work, it didn't work for me either.
I think I'll end here. I'm having trouble keeping my train of thought (too many drugs you know).
