Hi Kris,
I think the reason you did get negative responses is that so many of us have been living in Clusteropolis for so long that most of us have tried so many different routes.
I've done considerable studying into naturopathy and alternative treatments for cluster headaches. In fact, I wanted to be a naturopath when I grew up but couldn't afford the formal education to do it. So, I have read a lot about this route and have experimented on my clusterhead hubby with many different naturopathic treatments over the years. Yes, we did find temporary relief sometimes with different combinations of herbs, but nothing ever really was the magic bullet for him. The side effects that he experienced from taking herbs were quite significant, with headache being the common thread. For us, it just wasn't worth the expense and the resulting non-relief. The only "natural" treatment he's found success with were the psilocybin mushrooms. He's tried the P'au Darco, Feverfew, Ginger, Garlic, Mustard Powder, Capsaicin (sp), etc. etc. with very little success.
So, it's not that we are know-it-alls here at all, Kris. It's more probably just that we've gone that route and haven't found it to be all that successful.
But please also know this: If YOU are experiencing relief from your current treatment method, I can't think of one person here who wouldn't celebrate your personal pain freedom. If it works for you, WONDERFUL!! Just keep in mind the side effects that herbs can cause and be careful along the way.
Best of luck to you, Kris.
