Verapamil question

How long do you need to stay on Verapamil once the cycle is broken? Mike's cycle has broken with a Prednisone taper, starting at 70 mgs/per day, decreasing by 5 mgs a day for a 17 day stretch. He's at 45mgs per day today. Presently at 320mg Verapamil and no h/a. His neuro said he can gradually increase Verapamil to 720mgs per day but not seeing the need to go any higher at present.
