I just spent the weekend in my hometown, about three hours away and there's this old guy there who used to cut my hair 30 years ago when I was a sprout. He closed up his shop and started messin' around in his wood-shop, which, incidentally, is equipped with lotsa first class power tools, but in the corner of his shop is his old barber's chair. So amongst the sawdust and hair all over the floor, he gave me a hair cut for ol' times' sake, and we somehow got on the subject of headaches. (His son & I were classmates between 1969 & 1978).
Turns out, his son went through test after test, and they were determined to find a tumor somewhere, and he traveled all over the southeast, looking for relief, eventually ending up at the neurology clinic at Emory University, in Atlanta, and just for the heck of it, they decided to treat him for clusters... well, wouldn't ya know it, something they did worked...
Until Atlanta, this past summer, I'd never met another clusterhead in person, but it turns out, I went to school with one, for 10 years, and didn't know it.
I, like BobG (below), am just rambling, tryin' to push the cussin' & fussin' further on down the board, but it does illustrate, quite clearly to me, the need for greater awareness for this condition of ours. I can think of no better way than to join and support OUCH... Ya'll have a Happy New Year. I know I will...
Things can only get better from where I am, but at least I'm pain free (& thankfully so!)
