like we are supposed to be, have to beg a doctor for a prescription when in Mexico, you can get anything you want, without a prescription.
I don't beg a doctor for a prescription, I tell him what I want, if he gives me I hard time, I remind him that he is working for me and will even sign a disclosure freeing him of liability.
Wasn't this way when I was a kid last week, but seeing a doc young enough to be my kid is a different story. What in the hell does he know what works and what doesn't. He doesn't go through the pain of a reaction. He doesn't suffer a CH while wasting time on an ineffective medicine. And his paycheck depends upon you.
You can discuss with him alternate day therapy with prednisone, if he never heard of it, you know he doesn't know shit and may point that out.
As a patient you have the right to refuse any treatment or any medication, I feel the reverse is true that you have the right to demand treatment of your choosing.
So in your taper, what are you tapering from and to what? Can't ever find two doctors to agree on prednisone, some people can't stand the stuff, for others it a life saver.
