The first problem with any painkiller is that your body gets used to it very quickly. And it looses its punch. So we've got to save it for the bad ones.Or for a few days of vacation from the pain each month.Up to level 7, the stadol can help alleviate some of the pain, but only when used in moderation. After level 7, it only helps me to relax and try to separate myself from the pain.IMO:I've never been past level 8.Level 8 is the Dance, in public, with everyone watching, who cares, pain go away.Level 8 is as much pain as I can stand, and still maintain (banging one's head is maintaining, right? Rocking and humming, is maintaining, right? It doesn't hurt anyone, but they sure leave your cubicle in a hurry.).Level 9 would include irrational behavior (you know, lock 'em in the padded room stuff), bordering on and including behavior hurtful to one's self and possibly others. When I was younger, a teenager, I used to break and throw things, but I can control myself better now (the pain is acutally worse now, those weren't level 9's, I was just young and didn't understand what was happening).Level 10 would be past that, actively seeking a means to an end (i.e. using the gun, if one could drag themselves to the gun cabinet).
