imagine if you will...a balmy fall day...you are at peace ...relaxing neath an old oak tree...watching the clouds roll by.
...a flock of Canadian geese migrating South glide into yer field of vision miles above you...their honking is barely audible.
Their graceful ebb and flowing V formation constantly changes as the lead bird gently leaves formation and drifts back to the end of one side of the V...trading that spot that takes the most wind resistance for the most restful place.... in the draft.
The curious nature of every flock you have seen throughout yer life comes to mind. "Why" you wonder "is one side of the V shape longer than the other?"
