I just started a new job as a teacher at a Montessori School. I accidently forgot (lol) to mention during my interview that I have chronic ch. I thought it a good idea, however, to mention to the two other teachers I am working with that if I suddenly disappear, look like I am crying, start bashing my head, etc, it is simply because I have these headaches...I was prepared for the usual, "oh, kinda like migraines?" reply. Instead, one of the teachers started saying..."Oh, you poor thing...I dont know how you function at all...my brother in-law has cluster headaches and I know what he goes through...uhh...if you need anything, ice, air, water, alone time to take your medicine, whatever...just let me know...I totally understand."
I was talking to a dear friend tonight and all he could say was how happy I sounded....a job doing what I want to do, working with people who truly understand ch, and not letting that bastard beast win even a single battle...what more could a girl ask for?
