Henk sent me an e-mail pointing out that I had gotten it backwards. Of course if you use 4 "500 mg" vitamin C pills that actually weigh 550 mg, then you will be weighing out 2.2 grams thinking that is actually only 2.0 grams. My bad.
Yet another argument for breaking down and BUYING SOME SCALES!
It was pointed out to me that many American men already own some extremely accurate scales: those that are used for reloading ammunition. They weigh in grains rather than in grams, but the conversion is simple. One gram = 15.43 grains.
