I was recently diagnosed with Cluster headaches. It was the first time I heard of the name. The typical symptoms the Doctor read to me out of his reference book was almost verbatim what I had just described to him. Pretty eerie. Since then I've read some additional info on the internet.
The only thing I haven't heard anyone describe is the lesser pain before the onset of the intense pain. I normally have pain on the same side of my head as the cluster headache, that can hang around for days, but on some evenings or upon awakening in the morning, the pain gradually builds to a point that it jumps off the scale to the 'normal' cluster headache, lasts around an hour and then drops off dramatically to the lesser pain.
The level of the lesser pain is somewhat related to my (predominantly dust and mold) allergy flairups.
Does anyone else experience this / is it common?
Thanks in advance!
