A drug in suspension has solid particles floatin’ around in it; in order to be absorbed, I suspect it (the drug) must still be transformed from a solid to a liquid. If you were to crush a tablet, mix it with water, and swallow it immediately, it would (more than likely) take longer to have any effect than it would if you dissolved the drug into water (you have already changed its state from a solid to a liquid ); it would be more readily absorbed into the system. It’s a case of splittin’ hairs, for sure. 5 minutes can mean all the difference in the world when you’re in mid 9+k.. If you could keep the drugs dissolved in distilled water, in a vacuum, at absolute zero, in complete darkness it would probably keep indefinitely, but that ain’t the case. Chances are, if you suffer like the rest of us, it won’t have time to get old and lose its effectiveness.
