Hi Gang,
During a CH attack, I normally hold an ice pack or cold rag to my face.
I can melt an ice pack very quickly, and the cold rag can become almost hot after just a few minutes.
I don't feel any heat on my face during or after an attack, of course I only feel as if I've been clubbed to near death with baseball bats!
The heat intrigues me. People who stand within a foot of me say the can feel heat radiating out of my head like a furnace. There is no sweating, just heat.
I can still feel something going on deep inside my head, but don't feel it on my face. Yet, I too can put my hand about a foot away from my head and feel this heat coming out.
I had a cold towel, (keep damp towels in fridge), the other day on my face during an attack for about 3 or 4 minutes. My brother happened to be over and brought me a fresh towel. "Damn! this thing is hot!" he said as he pried it out of my hand.
Most of this I can somewhat accept, it's the heat flow radiating out of my head that baffles me.
Anyone else experience this? After an attack, have someone stand or put their hand a foot or so near your head, you don't even need to tell them why, see if they don't remark on the amount of heat they feel.
And they call us hotheads!
