Dont give up hope... I started getting attacks at 18. Am now 37. Have been on verap on its own.. no effect. Lithium & depakote with very minimal effect, and since beginning of the year lith & verap as a cocktail. AMAZING results. The best I have had in almost 20 years of misery as chronic sufferer. I have only had a handful of bad attacks in the last 6 months and NO really bad ones. Plenty of 'shadows' tho' but can still live and function with them. O2 and imitrex help when needed, but not often needed. Keep your chin up. I know EXACTLY how you feel. Thank God you have understanding friends.. it helps believe me.
There is a very good chance that this cocktail will work for you, once you have figured out the right dosages. Please let us know how you get on.
