I researched both Gamma K. and ended up having Stereotactic Radiofrequency Trigeminal Rhizotomy (probably mispelled by this time). Wayne Hurt in Houston did it. He's the best there is. I'm partially blind and have a paralysis on the left side of my face and will have this probably the rest of my life. Still have CH. A few months after the surgery, Topamax was discovered to put me in remission.
I urge you to hang in there and NOT have the surgery. Dr. Hurt gave me every opportunity NOT to have the surgery but I was desperate when I had it. Now I wish I had had a little more patience. I KNOW how you feel, but I also know how I feel three years later. E-mail me if you need more encouragement NOT to have it. I'll tell you how it REALLY is.
