Here's another method, that gives me some relief. So far I havent read about it on the CH-page.
When having a CH, a bloodvessal (vain? artery? excuse my English) at the CH-side of my head, appr. half an inch above my ear, is pulsating.
With my thumb I locate the exact spot of maximum pulsating. When found I press HARD, thereby blocking the blood flow. As a result, the painspot shifts form the normal spot to right behind my thumb. As such this action allready gives some relief.
To get more effect, I put my other hand behind my neck, and with my fingertips I search for a spot where some upgoing vessal is pulsating too. (ABout one and a half inch behind the ear, on the edge of the skullbone).
Again, when found I press HARD, with fingertips 2..4. If you do it right, you'll feel the pulsating behind your thumb getting lower, and then pain lessens more.
This works for me, up to CH 7.
Above 7, I combine the thumb action with another bloodflow blocking action. I use the thumb of my 'neck hand' to stop the upgoing bloodflow in the artery that goes up from behind the clavicula (key bone?). It takes some practice to find this exact spot. Press your thumb quit deeply behind the clavicula, releasing the surrounding muscles as much as possible.
It doesn't kill the CH, it only makes the pain more bearable.
Hope it helps to get some relief.
