Todd, I haven't taken lith, but my understanding is that none of those meds are likely to do any permanent damage if you are in reasonably decent health. Just keep an eye out and call the doc if you notice anything too weird. I've forgotten whether 60mg of pred is a very high dose, but high doses cause the adrenal system to shut down. The pred takes the place of the naturally produced hormones. Gradually tapering off gives the adrenals a chance to begin kicking back in.
