I recently came off a 10 month chronic bout of CH's - 5 to 9 every day. Topomax was the drug that finally worked. However, I kept getting 1 or 2 minor headaches or neck pains per day. Found that using aspirin, excedrin, etc. would stop them almost immediately. I also experimented taking aspirin in the morning and found that doing so delayed these HA's until later in the day. Told the Dr and was given some Celebrex 200mg to try, thinking these might be inflammatory related. By the third day, these little 'breakthrough' headaches were gone and I've started to taper down on the Topomax as well.
