Hi Dave,
My cycles started when I was 55 (now 65) and they came and went like clockwork, until two years ago, when I had a year-long cycle. Of course I was convinced I was becoming chronic, if not already there
However, they gradually dissipated and then left completely, and I've been fine for well over a year now.
Which medications are you on, by the way? It's my own feeling that some meds can actually extend a cycle, but I wouldn't bet the farm on that.
Also -- and I ask this reluctantly -- are you avoiding alcohol? I found that I absolutely must stay away from alcohol completely until I'm certain I'm out of cycle. I mean absolutely certain -- like many weeks after the final headache.
In any case, I understand your fears, we all do, but let's just assume you're going through an anomoly right now, and it really is not uncommon for these things hang around for a longer than "normal" time -- who knows why.
Good luck,Dave, and please keep us posted.
Ken
