I just want to give every one of you who responded to my message about my daughter a great big "THANK YOU" and "GOD BLESS YOU." You've been incredibly helpful...thanks much for the links, prayers, thoughts, suggestions, sympathy, and everything else.
Lexie's MRI and EEG were normal. "Bilateral maxillary sinus disease" was the only thing noted. Pediatrician and neuro concur that it's probably "migraines" and both want to try Periactin. So we will start that today. I personally don't know whether it's migraines or clusters but will try many of the suggestions for prevention and pain management offered here. I would like to add that a slow gentle massage of the affected side of her face does seem to bring some relief. Rarely does she let me put a warm cloth on her and has never allowed an ice pack.
I've checked out many of the links offered and have found some more good information---though the best I've found has been on this site.
The pain and anguish that you all go through (whether sufferer or supporter) comes through so clearly even over a medium such as this. I offer a prayer for all of you.
My thanks again for your help. I will keep you posted and check back often.
