A couple of suggestions: Keep an ice pack handy--a frozen bag of peas will work--and hold it against her head where the pain is centered. The icepack probably won't abort the attack, but it could make it bearable--below the screaming level. Click on the "Ask Doc Greg" link on the left of your screen and read the info on the use of 100% oxygen. Call your doctor today and get a prescription for oxygen and keep the tank by your daughter's bed. Get her on the O2 as soon as she wakes with the pain. I'm putting a link at the bottom for the type mask she must have. Tell the oxygen supply people that you need a mask to fit a child. There are preventive meds that work very well for some here, but you need to work with the doctors about their use with a child. I'm glad your daughter has you.
