Sounded hokey to me at first, but after reading the email that was sent to me, I think it just might work as the Doctor claims. I have copied and saved the letter in a documents folder. When I have the money...I'm getting mine fixed. Came out of the last cycle about 6 weeks ago...back to normal for another year or so I guess...until they come again (dread washes over me as I realize that as a fact)It's a relatively simple surgery based on where and how you experience the pain....has to be diagnosed during the cycle (which may or may not make it difficult to plan for the trip to Damascus).
In a nutshell, what they do is cut the nerve that is wrapped around the artery that is causing the pain...most commonly the the temporal and occipital arteries neurons at a specific location. The incision is very small and takes about ten days to heal and after that U are pain free...for GOOD! No more of these friggin' quack pharmaceuticals that we have all come to depend on to live a semi-normal life day to day while we have them....sounds good eh? I don't like pharmaceuticals and I never have, so to find a way of being free of both headaches (clusters and pharmaceutical bills), I sure hope to be able to take advantage of these new minor surgical treatments. I also hope that this will help someone else out there to be free of this most crippling pain I have ever experienced...and am sure will never experience any greater.
