Margi, your post about the guest book got me to thinking about my first time here. I was greeted by Elaine, jonny and another person. (I'll have to look back to check and see who it is now). My first impression of the board was dis-belief that something like this place existed. It was a good impression, until i ill-fatedly wrote my God post, but that was a good learning experience too.
Before i get off track on what i wanted to say here, i'll back track....ok First Impressions. What if your first impressions was that your description of you cluster headaches weren't quite up to snuff because you'd been up all night, or out of 02, or any other number of reasons. You were greeted with "Get the fuck out!" I'd get the fuck out, see ya and never come back would be my instincts. I don't see th is happen that often, but it has happened. We have all of our excuses about all the spam a nd the migraine season and stupid idiots like Daniel that drive us there. These new poeple don't know anything about what our reasons are, they just want help. They're on the net looking for it, they thought they found it, and then ..."get the fuck out!" Ok, this hasn't happened too often, but IT SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN! I am all for supporting what means it takes to keep our board free of every malady under the sun being discussed. I am all for getting rid of the Daniels and sometimes doing everything but driving to their house and throttling seems to be what it takes at times. I'm not for letting some new people lose their chance at help, and th eir chance at finding friends and support. I've found mine, i've made my friends, and i've taken, taken and taken...i've had my share and i'm so grateful there isn't enough words to express it. There is no way i'm going to let any new people who need this place and need help be driven away. I say this knowing full well i ha ve been responsible for doing it,...i'm sure i have been resonsible for it, that's why i'm writing this.
This post isn't to any one person at all. I'm not even thinking of anyone as I write it,...i'm just saying this now, because i have to. It's on my mind heavily.
