but have you thought of telling your story to the media? It might bring some much needed attention to clusters and show the public the extents sufferers will go to, to find relief.

I'm sorry for what you went through. An 11 hour cluster attack IS very unusual, the worst I have ever seen my husband go through was 8 hours of hell but that was because he made the mistake of sipping red wine. I think, what actually happened was three or four attacks, back to back, because the pain did subside at times and he was able to drift off to sleep. It would shortly re-awaken him though. One of the worst cluster nights I have ever seen. (That was our first wedding anniversary, actually.) But usually his attacks are, at a maximum, 1.5 to 2 hours.
