Dear People,
I am Australian, and just returned from a (Not So) great holiday on Fraser with my Girlfriend and her family. However, upon waking each morning, I was scorned for waking the entire campsite, and then my girlfriends brother mentioned something that made - ALOT - of sense. He said he thinks I have sleep Apnea and that during the night, I would snore loudly and then stop for up to 30 seconds while I could be heard gasping for breath - I haven't mentioned it to anyone, but I regularly feel irritable and depressed, but I always put it to being a night shifter - I am only 21 and I am overweight, I would like to know what sort of treatments are available, and if anyone in Queensland has been through this, as I don't have private health care and can't afford the private system. This has come as a shock and although it has finally put a name on what I couldn't for ages, it has now got me scared and worried about what to do - Suggestions please?
Ross
