I've been having episodic cluster headaches for about 4 years now and I've tried lots of things. Imitrex nose spray (20 mg) work great. My doctor put me on the anti-depressent, Celexa, and that helps me not have as many headaches per day. One weird thing that helps me sometimes is popping my neck. Especially when I'm not in a cluster cycle. When I'm not in a cluster cycle I sometimes feel like I'm starting to get a headache and if I pop my neck, it goes right away. I think that's weird, but weirder is when I'm in a cluster cycle and I try to pop my neck, it either won't pop, or if it does, makes the headache a lot worse. Here's a good tip as well. There's an over the counter asprin/pain reliever 'powder' that you mix in with water or juice that I bought at the grocery store. If mixed with juice you can't even taste it but my headache is gone 5-10 minutes after taking it. It works great! The kind I got was "BC-Fast Pain Relief." It's in a blue and white box and not too expensive. Try it.
