Poorlady! I've been there for some 50 years so I
can appreciate your pain and frustration with the
MDs. I have missed countless days work over my
career and have seen the same indifference you
have. I was chronic thru most of my 40s but have
been episodic since. DO see a neurologist and DO
try oxygen. For me, O2 was a miracle but only if
taken in the 1st 10 minutes of a CH onset and at
10 liters/minute flow. Try avoiding spicy foods,
MSG, perfumes, foods with a lot of preservatives
(hot dogs, etc.) alcahol and anything else that
seems to be a trigger during a CH episode. When
not in an episode, I can eat, drink and smoke
anything so life is not an endless blah, only an
occasional interruption. The best of luck to you
and here's to pain free nights.
