anyway you can use a small ice pack at work on the
base of your skull on the affected side? this works for me if i'm in a pinch and outside home..i once had an onset while driving and stopped at a gas station, bought a 5lb. bag of ice and put the entire thing behind my neck. terribly uncomfortable and i got soaked from the melting but it eased the pain.
