Hi Gang,
Had a visit from the beast Tuesday night (first since last May) and when it looked like it was gonna be bad, I got the ol' O2 from the garage and cranked it up. Though it was beating the beast back, the delivery didn't seem right and after the beast retired I started checking my setup. What I found was several leaks in the plastic bag on the non-rebreathable mask and the flapper valve between the bag and mask partially stuck. The sticky valve was a simple fix but what to do about the bag 'till I can get a new one? Then I remembered that I have several plastic newspaper bags that I use to put outgoing mail in during rainy weather. Voila, one newspaper bag and a twist tie and I'm back in business. To be sure, this is not a long term fix but it sure beats sucking the O2 directly from the tube; ya waste half of it on the exhale cycle. Best of luck to all.
