Ah, I see where you are coming from (and/or, where you are going.)
I'm going to a pain management center here in Santa Fe, NM. Thanks
for the idea, which I will take with me to inquire about. As for the
Imitrex tabs, I never take them for a CH; as you said, not fast enough.
The shots, of course, are extremely fast. To my delight, I have found
that the Imitrex Nasal Spray is consistently effective for me, taking
about 15-20 minutes. If I'm awake and sense a CH coming on, I'll do a
spray and deal with the pain until the sumatriptin - via nasal passage -
does its thing (whatever the hell *that* is!) If a CH wakes me up, then
it's always a shot, though I will always go to the 02 tank first. I
always try avoiding the Imitrex in any form, since I have the propensity
to do too much of it; also, I don't know what the long term effects, if
any, might be on nasal passages. I really tend to get a lot of black and
blue marks from the shots.
