I am pretty new to this place and really enjoy visiting, so please don't take this the wrong way...
I have read so many articles saying that CH's have something to do with seasons (daylight), foods, viruses, and stress. A person with depression and anxiety responds to these things extensively. And I always see the full blown cluster cycle turning into suicidal tendencies. It seems I spend most of my time chasing the remedy for CH's and always get lost in if the answers are just coincidence or truely a help. The only truth can lie in all the little triggers and 'cures' to colaborate into a phycological factor in which I beleive is a nervous disorder. The
trigeminal nerve seems to be the key in pain. This nerve also warns. It is going into spasms. The blood flow dialation and all the other effects are just that... effects of this nerves transmission of pain. Maybe it's a type of seizure resulting from depression. I'm sure that blaming pain in the dialation of blood vessels is a big mistake, and only causes more problems if treated this way. One of the biggest helps for pain I've had is caffine, and I don't think being tired and sleeping causes high blood presure, but it sure can cause a cluster. The 'feel good' from all the home remedies is the calming of the bodies nervous system, a whisper "it'll be ok".
I cannot bring myself to believe that this is some kind of disease with a cancer like remissive effect. Anyway, now that I've blown a little steam, I hope no one takes this personal. I just know that in order for me to break a cycle I always have to go without meds, otherwise I am cronic. I'm tired, and very happy to have found a place of colaboration. I will not keep bugging you all with cranky analytical posts. I love this place...
