Sue,
I too, wonder why you stay with someone that can't understand and deal with your pain? Don't stick around with someone who treats you like you're making something up!
Though, I also wonder why you titled your message "Cluster support"? I'm not trying to be a dick here, but something in your message caught my eye. You said.... "When I am attacked I need complete quiet as every little sound creates waves of pain to shoot through my head."
To be quite honest Sue, your symptoms with sound don't sound like classic cluster headache symtoms.
With my experiences with clusters and from what I've read on this site, noise and light don't make much of a difference with clusters like they do with other headaches. I just don't want you do settle for a "cluster" diagnoses because some dumb ass doctor has told you that's what you have!
A diagnoses of cluster headaches will do you NO GOOD if you really don't suffer from them. The only way, (I believe), to get help for your pain is to have your pain correctly diagnosed.
Like I said, not trying to cause trouble. Just wondering if you've been correctly diagnosed. There are a couple of links on the left hand side of this page to "cluster quizes" that might help you out.
And to all of you who clusterheads who replied to her without at least asking the question about the noise??? What's up with that?
Please don't bash me too bad..... It's just my opinion.
Tim
