Hi all,
Just got back from looking at the damage done by Hurricane Keith in Belize. Folks are hurting emotionally from battle fatigue from the past four weeks. Am planning on returning next week with supplies and thought I'd update those that are following the mushroom treatment.
As you may recall, seven weeks ago I took a moderately small dose of mushrooms with the miracle of stopping my 3-4x/day chronic attacks for four weeks. About two weeks ago they started returning, at first every other day or so, then every day, then last night 3 times. I still consider the mushroom treatment a success, for this chronic CH'er, who at least found about 5-6 weeks relative relief.
My girlfriend has watched me suffer before the mushrooms, saw the effect and witnessed the gradual return of the attacks. While I was gone she has secured a dosing of LSD, which I may take tonight after a black-tie formal affair.
The general idea is to up the dose to a sufficient quantity to knock out the CH for maybe 6 months to a year. The general consensus is that I underdosed on the mushrooms and that allowed the early return of the attacks.
As an aside, while in Belize this past week, I discussed the whole CH/mushroom/lsd idea with a young, US-trained doctor, in-fact the director of the medical school there. He was intrigued and supportive of the psychoactive drug treatment for CH and has agreed to follow my progress while I am back and forth over the next few months.
Have purchased a digital video camera and will take notes. Wish us well. I'll report back later with details.
