There might be something to this circadian rhythm and rem sleep association. This morning I woke up about 4 AM, and the old familiar feeling was there...shadows growing, and I was so sleepy. I got up quickly, staggered to the kitchen, drank two glasses of water, and made coffee. Ate. The beast retreated!
