(1)I'm not a pharmacist or a chemist. (2)As I understand it, ACE inhibitors vasodilate by RELAXING blood vessels, just as bronchodilators relax smooth muscles. The effect is the blood vessels cannot constrict or dilate excessively. (3) Verapamil did not help my CH and Altace (an ACE inhibitor) did. I'm just trying to share some options with those that are not helped by Verapamil. (4)I'm going to see my neurologist on Wednesday. I'll ask him about the ACE inhibitors and will retract my statement (with apologies) if I am wrong.
