Can't help with diagnosis but I had 8 to 10 headaches per day over my right eye, each lasting 10 -20 minutes.Diagnosed with chronic sinusitis.Had $3000 worth of useless surgery;saw 3 different ENTs; was on 8 diiferent anti biotics/anti fungals Finally, an internist recommended three 1000 mcg. B-12 injections, a week apart (in the butt).
I thought this was the "take 2 aspirins and call me in the morning" routine but after 2 years of consant pain I was desparate.It WORKED ! In the first week my headaches went to zero and stayed that way for two years.The MD says it works on a third, helps on a third and no help on the other third. He also jokingly calls it 'black magic' but suspects that the B-12 helps the traumatized nerve tissue.
The great thing about B-12 shot is that there are no side effects. The only downside is that insurance companies won't pay for the shot unless you have anemia but it only costs about $18 and is worth a hundred times that for me.The MD also said that oral B-12 will not work nearly as well. GOOD LUCK
